![]() Did a couple of small tasks, went to a clifftop ruin, which primarily consisted of falling off of a rock wall 7 times (just couldnt pass the climbing test, kept doing it stubbornly with pauses to heal until I finally got up, because dagnabit I'm not going to be beaten by a wall), got some rare books after solving a puzzle that really brought back some Unexplored 1 vibes. I'm just about 5 hours in to my first playthrough with the release version and it's been a wild ride. Finally got that dealt with, just in time for this to come out, and now I try it again, and it's really darned great so far. I hadnt followed it as closely as I would have liked in the last year due to tendon issues (couldnt use the triggers on a PS4 controller without pain, because. ![]() But it's been interesting to watch this evolve over time. The only thing left to do is to generate a whole new world with its own history, and begin the quest anew.Seriously, I'm surprised by how far this has come since that super early version. So, make sure you are prepared well and know everything there is to know about the last and most dangerous part of your adventure. However, when you die during your final mission, your world ends. You can try to fulfill your quest to destroy the Staff of Yendor with consecutive Wayfarers in the same world. You can leave items in a safe spot, ready for your next Wayfarer to pick up and use. Whatever the reason, when your character dies, they’re gone. You may make a wrong choice, take on one too many creatures, or forget to stock up on food before traveling a desert. The game is challenging and you will die often. Along the way you’ll meet tribes, encounter magical creatures and explore ancient ruins to discover mythical weapons and historic items.
